1. Lying prone, his head held high,
He captivated people's minds and ascetics alike,
١. قَد نامَ مُنبَطِحاً وَرافِعَ رَأسهِ
فَسَبى عُقولَ النّاسِ وَالنسّاكِ
2. His ample hind swaying as he pranced about,
As though weaving for them a lively tapestry.
٢. وَالرّدف مِنهُ إذ تَرَجرَجَ راقِصاً
فَكَأَنّهُ دَوّاسَتا حَيّاكِ
