1. My censors told me they said:
Gray hair has spread in the beloved's excuse.
١. إِنَّ عُذّالي أَخبَروني فَقالوا
قَد سَرى الشّيب في عِذارِ الحَبيبِ
2. And from passion whereby he excused youthfully,
God has honored his face with gray hair.
٢. وَمِنَ العشقِ حيثُ شابَ عِذاراً
كَرَّمَ اللَّهُ وَجهَهُ بِالمَشيبِ
