1. Upon his cheeks bloomed a rose
With the sun of his face the dawn arose
١. تَبدَّى عِندَ صُدغيهِ عِذار
بِشَمسِ خُدودِهِ أَضحى يحلُّ
2. So behold his face, on it a rose
You see a sun by which shade arose
٢. فَشاهِدْ وَجهَه وَبِهِ عذارٌ
تَرى شَمساً بِها قَد قامَ ظِلُّ
