Flowing in bodies and souls.

5. Comfort quenches us with the drink of good fortune,
From the chalice of amity, the finest of chalices.

6. The East scatters stars like coins
From dusk till dawn arrives.

7. The horizon shines as it dances, saying
Praise be to the Lord, Splitter of the dawn.

8. Beirut swayed illuminated,
Radiant at the fore of the lamp.

9. Lion cub of the lair, Abu al-Ala,
Sea of courage and sharp spears.

10. Lord of plateaus and heights in battle,
Against every angry, piercing lance.

11. Free and noble, dignified and brilliant,
Of glowing, radiant forehead.

12. Lord of glories, your orbit above them
With honor, atop its piercing axis.

13. Lord of felicity in the highest authority,
In beautiful fortune, dressed in success.

14. I congratulate him, and my mouth is named
With his arrival that calls for joy.

15. May God protect him and make his life
As long as the eagles’, in piety and rectitude.

16. Be well and live in health and safety
All time, at ease and comfort.

17. No bird has flown, no nightingale sung,
No branch swayed in the wind’s breath,

18. No star has shone, no dawn appeared,
No one strode at morn or eve,

19. Until the servant of the Kind One composed
His eulogy of you in utmost praise.
