1. News from the seashore may reach
One far away through tidings borne,

With the warmth of intimacy sworn,

4. And everywhere beautiful names apart
From those well-loved ones its traces adorn.

5. How sweet was living there so fit and fair,
And many a pure white cup my thirst would slake,

6. Shall I return, though returning is rare,
When my heart and soul are there, no mistake,

7. Shall my eyes be sated beholding it close,
And my ears to its sounds attentive awake?
