١. هَذا زَمانٌ سَيّئٌ
والسّوءُ فيه قد بدَا

2. He who is generous finds naught,
And he who finds will find nothing.

٢. مَن جادَ فيهِ لم يَجِدْ
ولم يَجُدْ من وَجَدا
