1. Is kingship enough for you, O faithful one
You escaped the turns of fickle time
2. So that the kingdom would be serene since you are
Like a necklace on a neck
3. Had you been loved as you deserve
You would have been instead of a crown at the top of the forehead
4. You rose with resolute determination and wisdom
And excelled in nobility and faith
5. So you do not cease to have abundant grace
Upon the healthy and obvious grace
6. As if you were unleashed, energetic,
Whose water was poured by pouring hands
7. The purity of manners and beauty of character
So happiness to hearts and eyes
8. Like the days of youth when it was beautiful and fluttered
And the days of boyhood and passion
9. I thought well of you, so you were worthy
Of my belief and the belief of suspicions
10. The clouds of your bounty only gathered
So I drew the ropes of protected praise
11. Why was I deprived when I was among those
To whom longing pulls, full of yearning
12. After my attachment to you seeking refuge
And my taking from you the strong rope
13. One who is not like me is nominated for highness
And one who is below me is called to wealth
14. I see the staves of other people that are not my wont
Laden with fruits, bent boughs
15. Why do I not devote my lifelong time to you
When those behind me have gone ahead of me
16. I do not say this out of envy for the free man
Whose time transcended him with madness
17. But general abundance is more deserving
Of the quality of pouring rain
18. Indeed, time has tied my hands and exhausted me
With its fields of fleeting luck
19. I did not implore your flowing bounty until
It distracted me with constant war
20. You remained for the soul of a weary, frail being
Who called you - so release a captive, detained
21. And you lived as the envied days ascended
To the Most High, alone
