1. I depart, but my heart does not forget you
And the memory of you remains, longing trapped within my soul
١. أَرُوحُ وَقَلْبِي عَنْكَ لَيْسَ بِرائِحِ
وَذِكْرُكَ باقِي الشَّوْقِ بَيْنَ الْجَوانِحِ
2. It is enough glory for me if the sun of the kingdom, the King
Presents my eulogies to you
٢. وَحَسْبِي شَمْسَ الدَّوْلَةِ الْمَلْكُ غايَةً
مِنَ الْفَخْرِ أَنْ تُهْدِى إِلَيْكَ مَدائِحِي
3. For my poetry once put all other verse to shame
But now with your forgiveness it is the one shamed
٣. وَقَدْ كانَ شِعْرِي يَفْضَحُ الشِّعْرَ كُلَّهُ
فَأَمْسى بِما تُولِي سَماحُكَ فاضِحِي
