١. قُلْ لِلْعَمِيدِ عِمِيدِ الْمُلْكِ إِنَّ لَهُ
عَزْماً يُؤَمَّلُ لِلدُّنْيا وَ لِلدِّينِ
2. O best of those exalted by abundant praise
A heart not infatuated with other than ideals
٢. يا خَيْرَ مَنْ شَعَفَ الْحَمْدُ الْجَزِيلُ لَهُ
قَلْباً بِغَيْرِ الْمَعالِي غَيْرَ مَفْتُونِ
3. Why is your door open to those entering
When I find it closed and shut to me
٣. ما بالُ بابِكَ مَفْتُوحاً لِداخِلِهِ
وَلَسْتُ أَلْقاهُ إِلاّ مُغْلَقاً دُونِي
4. I seek refuge in your grace I know
It continues to kill my enemies and give me life
٤. إِنِّي أَعُوذُ بِعَطْفٍ مِنْكَ أَعْرِفُهُ
ما زالَ يَقْتُلُ أَعْدائِي وَيُحْيِينِي
5. Lest there be between them and me
Anything but fortune drawing them near and distancing me
٥. مِنْ أَنْ يَكُونَ الَّذِي بَيْنِي وَبَيْنَهُمُ
شَيْئاً سِوى الْحَظِّ يُدْنِيهِمْ وَيُقْصِينِي
