1. Your generous hands have bestowed on me
Bounties returning like streams to the valleys.

2. I care not if the youth pledge never
To shoot their arrows my way.

3. Again and again you allow me to taste
The sweetness of gifts from the hand of youth.

4. My praise, though it last, comes still
Short of your kindness so perfect in aim.

5. How complain of a hapless lot
When your care was by me in my plight?

6. Soon will I praise the steeds; for the steeds
Have brought to us the best of all steeds.

7. Bearing from your land to our barren land
Gifts that have revived the bloom of our fields.

8. I used to seek the bounty of all the great;
But your bounty suffices me now in my need.

9. A bountiful guest, you came and the seeker
Still hopes for your favor in every vale.

10. So the rain passes from the dusty plain,
And morning finds it clothed with flowers again.

11. I owe you no right but the right of love,
Of speech in your praise, and affection sincere.

12. And when disasters loom, pushing us near
Destruction, to the generous souls we steer.
