2. With generosity that gave your reputation wide renown,
So that talk of you became copious,

3. You are most noble in lineage when it comes to virtues,
Unlike one known for anything else.

He lives and wakes to praise as a comrade.

5. How much trembling for you, and comfort for benevolence!
Without it the noble would not be noble.

6. You spent your wealth pursuing the sublime,
And accompanied the days of time aloof.

ู ุงูุฒููู

7. The treachery of fate did no harm to its generosityโ
It left the hopeful weak.

And misfortunes and caprices upon the vile!
