1. Behold, thus fortunes are inaugurated,
With glory sublime and countenance radiant,

2. With happiness fulfilled and glory erected,
With might renewed and life most affluent,

3. When the slender hope will be verified,
And meager praise amplified,

4. The glory of state did call,
So its dais and throne did accede,

5. With every sound purpose made actual,
And effort, in each success, lauded as merited;

6. Upon the horizon of fortune, O son of kings,
Is this riding forth and this emergence,

7. You rose to dispel the darkness and sorrows,
With face upon which beauty and light appear,

8. The rain of glances took charge freely to water
From beauty, wherein astonishment flows,

9. Through you, kingdom is bewildered, yet dignified,
And through you, time is invigorated, though long-suffering;

10. An appearance presenting victory in all requests,
So that each hardship seems thereby effortless;

11. A morn which by its like, delight is fulfilled,
Eyes are solaced, and breasts healed;

12. We partook of it purely, so we were filled with joy,
And preserved from intoxications of wine;

13. And the pleasure of drunkenness is only where
Wishes are sung, and happiness revolves;

14. O glory of state, protected and sheltered one,
To you may God, from every eye, grant sanctuary;

15. For the likes of you, verily, though inadequate for you,
Is this hazardous position indeed endorsed;

16. For the stars are enthralled by the sky,
And the luminous moon is most befitting to it;

17. A spear, sharp-bladed, has been cast for defamation,
And a sword, quick-slicing, unsheathed for assault;

18. And for precedency on the day of the race,
A steed has been harnessed, unfailing in lengthy strides;

19. A youth who ruled the world whilst a babe,
And built high whilst a small boy;

20. Wealthy in glory and favors,
Yet impoverished of any peer;

21. So this fortune persists established
In your position, for as long as a conscience remains;

22. And your kingdom, O its pride,
Continues, its axis being your glory;

23. And you have been granted, in the nobility of state,
Eternity, that which eras wish for;

24. And my praise remains consecrated to you,
To you my spirit moves with it, and with dawn’s first light;

25. A eulogy which, when the thickets of life were joyous,
Did waft like the fragrant breeze spreading the gardens;

26. It remains devoted to you, but
It roams in every expanse, singing your praise;
