1. O you who have assumed power, which praise
Could truly give you thanks or rise up,
2. And who is there that sees you and calls
Upon another in days of distress?
3. How could it be so when you remain
Loving despite the haters abound,
4. So you show kindness though the vile
Turn away, and accept with affection if they shun.
5. Your gift brought me hope before bounty
And enriched the aspirations diminished,
6. And it beholds life to water the earth
With a living whose glow is unceasing.
7. Your plentiful gift has sustained me
With creations that heal the diseased,
8. Your face and your deeds radiate brightness
As if they are your shining essence.
9. Whether you have granted or withheld
You are the ultimate giver on loan.
