1. This Imam Al-Shafi'i, the treasure of generosity
This son of Idris, the revered Imam

2. This is the stronghold, fortress for whoever comes
Seeking his help, to find refuge or protection

3. This one about whom parables are given regarding
Knowledge, patience and good traits

4. This cousin of Mustafa, sublime lineage
This son of Zamzam, Safa and Al-Multazam

5. This is the Qurashi, scholar of the Imams
This son of the masters of the holy precincts

6. This is the shining full moon, and through him
The lips of Sharia and truth have smiled

7. This one about whom it is authentic that
His knowledge and wisdom will fill the earth

8. From the sea of this scholar, guidance has sprung
And the Sharia stands on the strongest foundation

9. From above his vast sea the ship has sailed
Verily the ship rides the tumultuous ocean

10. A scholar whose glory made kings stand in awe
And Arabs and non-Arabs have borne witness

11. Through him and the Household of Mustafa
Egypt has attained a glory beyond value

12. And through them it became the highest sanctuary of virtue
Its abundant virtues have satisfied all nations

13. O pilgrims, our Imam is a firm, sturdy pillar
In times of distress, steadfast and refuge‐giving

14. None sought his assistance or protection
Except that they attained honor and bounty from him

15. And he became an ally of victory in their quest
Whenever an opponent saw him, he turned and fled

16. Verily, the Imam Abu Al-Makarim (the Bountiful)
Lord of munificence, Benefactor of aspirations and resolves

17. In his name and through his merit and grace
Peoples have attained the abode of truthfulness

18. And through him, many a favour and kindly gift
Rising above the clouds when they gather

19. And through his convincing argument in legal reason
Considered definitive proof by the learned

20. It suffices him as an honor that the words of Mustafa
Prior to coming into existence from nonexistence

21. And the testimony of the great scholar Malik
And the two companions while he was still a child

22. This is true everlasting glory, not through
Wealth, children or ample means

23. O people this is the day of his birth in which
Gifts and presents are shared out

24. So rejoice together in his fine bestowals
For through them the Imam has brought you together

25. O kind master, his eminent, glorious side
We have returned seeking thy generosity, so be generous

26. And see to the one who has entered the sanctuary and come near
And to the one who has served this great birthday of thine

27. And to the one who has faithfully upheld its tokens
And to the one who has labored, prayed and inscription inscribed

28. And give the people of knowledge through thy position, priority
For sciences are respected through their masters

29. O God, bless the Prophet and his household
The seal of prophethood and message he concluded
