1. O Forgiver of sins, with generosity and grace,
And Acceptor of repentance, from the devout and the sinner,

2. Bestower of concealment with kindness and mercy,
Upon the disobedient through abundant grace and nobility.

3. Accept my wishes and forgive what my hands have committed,
And conceal my faults, and distance me from accusations.

4. Awaken my heart from grief and from heedlessness,
And fill it with knowledge, enlightenment and wisdom.

5. Deliver my soul from error and from corruption,
And wash my heart from injustice and from being wronged.

6. With Your grace, guard all my limbs
From disobedience, illness and disease.

7. Grant me wellbeing and pardon whatever evil notions
May occur to me while awake or asleep.

8. O Lord, if in my youth I was excessive,
Today I have exceeded in regret.

9. I wasted my life in vanity and play,
And in committing prohibitions without dignity.

10. I was heedless of all advice,
As if my hearing was deaf to preachers.

11. Today grey hair has awakened me, as
Youth has departed and the state of old age has stood up.

12. I concealed a secret that burst out from me
And spread openly after being concealed.

13. It shone on my forehead, smiling like the dawn,
Folding the carpet of the night's darkness.

14. After fifty years I came confessing
What I had earned, but let my regret intercede for me.

15. O Lord, Your pardon for sinners is vast,
And the sea of Your generosity is flowing for all who thirst.

16. So let Your excellent pardoning include me,
And wash away my sins and my misdeeds.

17. For my heart is filled with monotheism,
Gratitude is my habit, and the verses of remembrance are my words.

18. Reverence for the Master and fear of Him restrain me,
And I do not neglect Your rights, asleep or awake.

19. Love of the best of creation and his family
Is an essential duty that has mingled with my blood.

20. This is my creed and all my provision
For a gathering in which You gather all peoples.

21. If You accept, this is the goodness of my belief,
And if You refuse, a misstep has exposed me.

22. But I have hope of pardon that gives me ambition,
And of the intercession of the best of Arabs and non-Arabs.

23. Muhammad, master of both worlds, for whom
The mountains spoke, greeting him without mouths.

24. Whoever drew near dangled from his enclosure
Like the two bow-lengths or nearer with greatness.

25. The Throne, the carpets, and the orbiting spheres are humble before him,
And he is the Prophet's servant, from the elite of servants.

26. He saw God with his own eyes and saw
Favors that surpassed all things of value.

27. What occurred was what none knows
Except the Controller and the Chosen One of old.

28. Glory to Him who adorned him with the traits of favor,
So he attained the highest ascent in morals and qualities.

29. The master Mustafa the Chosen One from Mudar,
Wealth of the poor, vast in generosity.

30. How not, and the banner of praise is in his hand,
Which he will raise on the Day of Gathering like the singular flag.

31. Far be it from him to deprive me of his abundant favors,
Since the rain of his gifts is more beloved than blood.

32. I see love of him as a religion and creed,
And love of his family as my treasure and refuge.

33. O best of those who bowed their brows to God,
And stood with reverence for the truth upon sanctified ground.

34. Whose glow illuminated the horizons when
The dawn of guidance split open amid encampments and sanctuaries.

35. And best of those sent to all people
With the utmost nobility of character and manners.

36. You came while people were in confusion and blindness,
Like beasts, heedless and enjoying comfort.

37. Engaged with idols, their constant habit,
Burying daughters alive, even in the sacred months.

38. So you brought them a Glorious Scripture
That guides to righteousness, indeed it gives life from nothingness.

39. Its eloquence confounded them and awed them,
So after that they acquiesced despite their arrogance and recalcitrance.

40. Its verses are definitive, all lessons,
Ancient descriptions of the Timeless Described.

41. It increases in beauty with repeated recitations for its hearer,
While all else may lead to boredom.

42. Thus polytheism retreated in humiliation and weakness,
And the light rose to the highest peaks.

43. How many necks you struck with the sword of truth!
How many structures of disbelief you demolished!

44. How the defenders of the faith showed strength and firmness,
And scattered polytheism from homes and tents!

45. Their army drove those they had captured in war
Like a flock of sheep and cattle herded.

46. At the valley of Mecca on the day of victory, how they acted!
And cleansed the House from filth and deafness.

47. Their faces shone with glittering blades,
Severing flesh from the enemies' necks.

48. They never yielded to enemies or showed weakness,
But sought victory through sincerity and resolve.

49. Their honor leads them, and victory guides them,
In every matter that elevates their faith.

50. And the Chosen One, quintessence of morals, guides them
To the heights through excellent deeds and words.

51. O Master, before the creation of the universe from eternity,
When Adam was clay not yet risen.

52. From you comes bounty, from you comes good everlasting,
From you wealth is hoped through your boundless generosity.

53. You are my grantor when people are unable
To grant me victory in war or peace.

54. No pillar but yours can stand for one who seeks pillars,
But your pillar does not crumble.

55. So extend to me a generous hand that you have filled,
And touch my heart with it, and fill it with wisdom.

56. Bestow upon me the hajj of Bayt in ease
And visitation in strength and dignity.

57. Make my life in these lands honorable,
With prestige, favor, and prosperity from my destiny.

58. To you I complain of debts that weighed heavily
On their bearer, so be the best to pay them.

59. Your right hand's generosity overflows for its seeker,
And whoever seeks ample favors will be respected.

60. And attend when my predestined time of death arrives
With your smiling mouth at my final breath.

61. And be my intercessor for my sins, taking my hand
On Judgment Day, for I am of tender kinship.

62. And show me kindness when people are gathered
In distress amid crushing and blazing heat.

63. As they drown in a sea of terrors, plunging
In the sweat of their bodies, overwhelmed.

64. And divert my opponent on the Day he tries me
And space constricts around my thronged gathering place.

65. When flaws are exposed and scrolls spread open
At a station with all creation packed together.

66. And people panic in fear and terror
When the Noble One manifests with a vengeance.

67. For I have no supporter but the best of creation,
And none but him is my refuge at all.

68. For I have a covenant with him by my name
Ahmad, and he is the most loyal to covenants.

69. I praised him as if when I praise him
I offer the ocean drops of blood.

70. I cannot, nor can anyone, match his praise
After what has come in Noon and the Pen.

71. May God send blessings upon him eternally,
Whenever leaves stir with melodies and tunes.

72. And upon his family, companions and followers altogether
In every beginning and end from me.
