1. My heart yearns for the garden of Al-Mustafa
And my teary eyes long for him from afar

2. As if the hands of passion play with me
A branch in the breeze of youth fluttering afar

3. As if I’m a boat in a turbulent sea
Either safety or without doubt sinking down

4. But I have hope that I will see him
And after suffering, relief will free the shackled souls

5. In the garden of Al-Mustafa, the guiding light, and his chamber
The light of glory and the scent of musk wafting

6. When will I see the radiant light in his chamber?
And be covered by his gentle rays

7. When will I see the embers of longing subside?
And with the water of nearness, desires be extinguished

9. When will I see myself taking refuge
At the threshold of Al-Mustafa, with tears flowing down my cheek

10. When will I see myself near his grave, reciting beautiful praise
My neck outstretched, prolonging the ode

11. When will I see him cover me in his abundant grace
And shame makes me lower my gaze in his presence

12. When will my ears hear his gentle voice
And I listen to his reply, submissively offered

13. From him I hear while my ears are attentive
"Fear no harm and no rejection will reach you"

14. "Be under our care in life and hereafter
For you are from us and from us stems righteous ancestry"

15. "Your sincerity and love have clear signs
Weeping for sincerity is evidence indeed"

16. "So receive glory, status, and vastness from us
Our care for you is support and kindness"

17. Who can grant me this, O light of dawn
Whose radiance has illuminated cosmos and horizons

18. Through you the pillars of existence are erected
So you were first and you were last in the universe

19. Without you no sun or moon would have risen
No, and the universe's doors would not have opened

20. You are no doubt the passage of the cosmos since the beginning
And you are the cure for the soul and all maladies

21. Whoever gains your support, the Nile overflows abundantly
Quenching the thirst of thousands, water pouring forth

22. Through you the Friend (Abraham) was saved from raging fire
His worth increased and no burning touched him

23. And Noah sailed in his ship by your name
East and west, and no drowning reached him

24. And Tayba (Madinah) through you won its seekers
And freedom after long bondage was attained

25. The calf spoke to him and the tree trunk whimpered
And he cared for it from afar with compassion

26. The cloud shaded him from the heat of Hagar
And he saw the moon when the horizon glowed red

27. The cave concealed him in its refuge
As his enemies passed with thundering cavalry

28. And how many miracles I cannot enumerate
That pages and scrolls cannot contain

29. It is enough pride and glory that through him morals were perfected
After the prophets in the cosmos

30. May God send blessings upon him, as long as
Clouds pour down rain and provision is apportioned to creation

31. And upon his family, companions and followers altogether
As long as the full moon shines above
