1. Love is an illness, union is its cure
And nearness after distance is healing

2. Companionship with loved ones is the greatest pleasure
In it lies nourishment for the souls of lovers

3. O morning breeze visiting the people of passion because of the agony of love
For them how it has torn apart their intestines

4. They became intoxicated and infatuated with love so their habit is
Wakefulness, ecstasy, and happiness is crying

5. It is sweet for them the bitterness of infatuation because they are
The army of passion and its loyal supporters

6. A people who have the greatest power in love
Under which ministers and princes have submitted

7. If they attain union, their struggle is victory
And if they die, they are martyrs

8. Do not blame them for their sickness
Among people they are dead yet alive

9. O companion, leave your passion be, for it
Is a chronic disease with no cure

10. And restrain yourself from inclining towards desire
Verily desire is an affliction for lovers

11. However sweet the taste of passion is, it
Is bitterness in flavour, and sobriety is unconsciousness

12. How many a youth has been captured by the glances of the beautiful
And the snare of desire has cast him into perdition

13. So he became covered in blood, his tears overflowing
As his garment and blood became his shroud

Above which a languorous gazelle appeared

16. So listen and do not neglect the words of an advisor
For self-restraint is a fortress for the youth and protection

17. So the passionate one sighed from the joy and grief
And the horizons almost collapsed from his passion

18. And the wet eyelid shed tears over the flower
As the brilliant full moon grieved over me

19. And the birds cried over my lament, almost
Tearing their necks with their claws

20. If I aim to be chaste or intend to be patient
My burning tears flow over me

21. Of what benefit is my endurance and patience
When my eyes constantly weep?

22. I am a slave of passion, but my ambition
Is beyond it, like Mars and Jupiter

23. My determination in adversity never wavers
And exhaustion has never afflicted me

24. And when the darkness of tribulations comes
I have none but the best of creation as my hope

25. Al-Mustafa, the guide, the bearer of good news, Muhammad
Fathered by the best of the noble

26. The secret of existence, the pride of every monotheist
Helper at times of distress, so respond when the winds howl

27. The shining face, his luminous forehead
At whose loftiness the highest aspire

28. By whose light the sun became radiant
And for it the horizons shone

29. The sun borrowed its light from him
And for him the heavens radiated brilliance

30. He is the origin of things and their essence
The spirit of life, and all else is illusion

31. A protected secret “Am I not your Lord”
A deep ocean whose habit is giving

32. Without his generosity the clouds would not rain
He is the beneficial, all else is barrenness

33. He is merciful in all adversities
Whether a great calamity or enemies multiply

34. Which female has given birth to the like of Muhammad
And by other than him Eve would not boast

35. On the day of his birth the world was illuminated
And wishes drew near and blessings descended

36. When the eye of existence saw his beauty
It found tranquility in him and ailments were cured

37. How many signs appeared at Muhammad’s birth
Like the rising sun, beyond counting

38. Why not, and the best of creation is the noblest messenger
And miracles give him brilliance

39. A cloud shaded him from the intense heat
And pebbles glorified him in his palm

40. And by touching the udder of a sheep it flowed after
Exhaustion had left it dry

41. And a gazelle sought his protection so he granted it
And the young ones rejoiced at its coming

42. And a tortured camel complained to him of its hunger
So he attained what it desired and wished

43. And a wolf spoke to him in eloquent speech
As the trunk of a palm tree wept from being stripped bare

44. And a deer gestured to him
Bending affectionately with devotion

45. And the palm trees inclined toward the best of creation
As the fruits and branches drooped

46. And all kinds of stones submitted to him
And the path became smooth for his walking

47. And water burst from between his blessed fingers
Quenching the thirst of the multitudes, so excellent is its irrigation

48. And the planting of Salman's graft
Indicating the loftiness of his worth

49. In a year its palm trees bore fruit
As the seeds sprouted and burdens were removed

50. The Prophet placed his palm over Jabir's dates
So the few became sufficient out of generosity

51. The Jews poisoned his forearm but he did not perish
When his companion informed him of the poisoning, they were enraged

52. How many schemes the Jews plotted in secret
For they are cowards

53. No illness lingered in healing with his touch
For his touch is a remedy for the sick

54. And he restored the sight of Qatadah and her beauty
Does the radiant full moon even compare?

55. And the withered branch became verdant by his touch
Covered in vitality, joy, and irrigated

56. Of the Chosen One's miracles speak without
Restriction and say the news has circulated

57. No miracle remains for other than Al-Mustafa
After death, without delay

58. And the greatest of them is the Quran, the greatest miracle
In comprehending which the eloquent are confused

59. The lights of this religion are with the Quran
Remaining illuminated, impossible to extinguish

60. The light of Islam cannot be extinguished
No matter the transgression or enmity of enemies

61. Its verses have overcome their discourse
For compared to the verses of the Book, theirs is nonsense

62. For the eloquence of the Quran they bowed in prostration
Despite being its masters

63. In it is guidance for the righteous and mercy
In it for the breast of believers is healing

64. In it are sciences that none can encompass describing
With no limit to enumerating them

65. What was, what will be, and what exists
The terrestrial, celestial, and ethereal

66. The novelties of creation are precisely demarcated
Despite the vanishing of eras, having no expiration

67. It is pleasing and exquisite to the hearing whenever
Recited by the noblemen who master recitation

68. From every change its preservation
Was undertaken by the Lord of creation, so its light is radiant pearls

69. This Hashimi Prophet is the one for whom
The sun returned at sunset alive

70. And for him the crescent moon split in Mecca
As its news circulated in all directions

71. He takes precedence in sending blessings after
God, and after him come all others

72. The Master has granted him every miracle
And the greatest is the Night Journey and Ascension

73. In it he saw the Majesty of the Magnificent
As secrets and names were disclosed

74. By Allah, his heart did not waver or transgress
Nor did his limbs tremble

75. Rather, he was steady in the light of the disclosure
His essence filled with radiance and reverence

76. The heart was vigilant but his eyes
Lowered from awe of the Master

77. And with his eyes he saw God, without
Where, how, or opposite

78. He trod upon the Heavenly Carpet when he drew near
To a distance of two bow lengths, where the meeting was blessed

79. After this, do places have pride?
No, neither Mount Sinai nor Mount Tur

80. And for him prayer was made obligatory, for it is
The strong foundation and structure of the religion

81. A secret of secrets that none can inform of
Not revelation or inspiration

82. This is true glory and loftiness, for his position
And noble rank

83. This Prophet came with the noblest law
And the greatest that rational minds find comfort in

84. An upright religion whose rulings are decisive
A noble law, an immaculate faith

85. His law superseded all previous laws
So after it they have no permanence

86. Why would it not be the final seal, its face
Radiant light between laws

87. Allah has a religion whose light
Only the blindly ignorant deny

88. God concluded prophethood with him, for he
Is the source, and through him they are deputies

89. He came perfecting noble morals
Verily morals are a remedy for souls

90. Through him the world has worn its adornment
And by him beauty was made evident to eyes

91. When he called to Allah, a group of radiant noblemen
Rose to champion him, true Hanifs

92. They fought in the way of God with true struggle
Verily all are his supporters for the religion

93. Against enemies in times of strife they were
Lions, bravely entering the field of battle

94. Whitening scrolls and pages is their habit
A raging storm between enemies

95. How many skulls did they toss about the ground
And by their swords how many intestines were shredded

96. The earth flowed with blood as if
A sea in which corpses were swimming

97. Fierce in battle but
Merciful amongst themselves

98. Heads fall from their blows
While hands cannot be counted

99. And it is as if the bodies of the enemies collapsed
Like palm trunks and blood turned black

100. For Allah are companions and supporters whose
Hand is white in every battle

101. Victory and Divine aid are their goal
And valor is their noble trait

102. Resolute in truth and aspiring to nobility
As heroes and equivalents witnessed

103. No wonder they endured tribulation sincerely
For they are all his supporters for the religion

104. O best of messengers with the best message
And most eminent in intelligence to shine upon

105. My heart and your right to love are sincere
Verily love is loyalty between us

106. I swear by the Sacred House, Zamzam,
And the Plain where pilgrims stand equal

107. And the one at which they stopped and cried fervently
Humility their state and crying their mantle

108. Verily in loving you I am enthralled and obsessed
And my essence is a repository and vessel

109. My soul and what I possess of valor and
Wealth are ransom for the best of messengers

110. So for the right of your family, watch over me
And look upon me, in your nearness lies my hope

111. And look after my family, then my children, for they
Are your children, O best of creation

112. Their father is the repeating striker of Khaybar
And their mother is the mistress of women, the radiant

113. And to you, best of creation, leads
The lineage of one graced by God with brilliance

114. Through you we have blocked off the world, but others
Have undertaken with it the white and the yellow

115. So extend your hand of kindness toward me, for I
Am needy of generosity, and in you is munificence

116. And show mercy to me when on Judgement Day the lovely gazelle
Twists her neck and adversaries stand

117. When Hell is presented to the beholder
And limbs testify against misdeeds

118. And all creation is terrified by Resurrection's shock
Whether the ruled or rulers

119. O Mustafa, give security to your loving servant with acceptance
Excellence, and say the loving servant does no wrong

120. And enter me into the Abode of Bliss, for it
Is my wish, the reward for praising you beautifully

121. May God send blessings upon you, the splendid east wind
And the brilliant sun adorned the sky

122. And upon your family, companions, and the noble company
Who served knowledge, all being true Hanifs
