1. The sciences of medicine have become clearer
And good fortune has clothed them in splendor

2. So illness in Egypt no longer has a place
When the doctor brandishes his weapons against it

3. The doctors are messengers and each
Before illness has shown his struggle

4. So how many eyes were delighted to see them
And all slept in security and comfort

5. And through them Egypt boasts
Of the masters in every field

6. Especially the knight of medicine Ali
The leader of all in the art of surgery

7. He has frustrated many an illness
But with him the sick found comfort

8. So they rose in good health by his skill
On his hands their wings took flight

9. When the sick cried "my salvation!"
He answered "by God's grace, my prayers"

10. Had Ibn Sina lived with Ali
He would tire from swimming the sea of medicine

11. And Ibn Sina would call him unique -
The wise attest to this openly

12. Indeed, O son of Ibrahim, you are a crown
For the summit of medicine you established its principles

13. And your lessons in eloquence are magic
As if you were the star of rhetoric in the world

14. And from good traits you obtained a share
That clothed you in generosity’s robe

15. So the world rejoices in your rising
And the sick find rest in seeing you

16. Still the world congratulates you
And supremacy remains yours to take
