1. Every rebel has repented
And regretted their shortcomings

2. And the righteous have attained
Good ends through righteousness

3. Yet I remain in my arrogance
Continuing in sin

4. And my sins are mounting
And my flaws are conspicuous

5. My efforts are deemed good
While my deeds are so blameworthy

6. Distractions have taken me over
And the darkness of sins has gripped me

7. The sweetness of life has passed
And my youth has faded

8. The suns of joy have set
And vanished behind the veil

9. I see this world everyday
Moving closer to ruin

10. And one's stay in it
Is like the passing clouds

11. O my friends, save me
From my sins and punishment

12. On the day the wilds
Are brought forth for judgement

13. On the day one is cast
Into fierce flames

14. Except the best of humanity
Muhammad the noble and virtuous

15. My refuge and provision
In times of great adversity

16. O my beloved, my heart
Melts from intense yearning

17. And my eyelids struggle
While my soul is in turmoil

18. You are my goal, my love
My shelter when I repent

19. Return me to my old ways
And bring me back I pray

20. For I am suffering but
The prolonged absence pains me

21. The pangs of longing have set
My heart aflame at night

22. If I have sinned, then forgive
And I will heed and obey

23. Grant me pardon and grace
And remove my shackles

24. Send your blessings upon
Muhammad forevermore
