1. The morning breeze turned my heart to Najd in yearning,
So I met with youthfulness and passion.

2. My heart flew from ecstasy and longing,
And my eyes were shedding copious tears.

3. So stop blaming me, you who blame me,
For my heart has turned a deaf ear to your blame.

4. If the morning breeze only knew the passion in my heart,
It would not have aimed its arrows to blame me.

5. You see no meaning in this longing,
Nor understand the sickness and love.

6. By God, no heart has been watered by love like my heart,
No eye stays awake at night like my sleepless eye.

7. Indeed, love is harmful to lovers,
Its sickness has clothed them.

8. It has led them to perilous places,
So they have tasted its bitterness.

9. But I am content with love’s command,
Pleased and shepherded by fate.

10. Love has risen but the status of love is so lofty,
Like the love I have for Mustafa the best of creation,

11. Intercessor of sinners, protector of orphans,
Succor of the universe, fertile and beautiful place.

12. Kind hearted, abundant rain, generous,
Pouring rain harmoniously blending.

13. Handsome of face, graced with dignity,
Lighting the night if he unveils.

14. Kings of the earth bow down before his majesty,
Fearful and respectful.

15. He came while people were in the darkness of polytheism,
So he dispelled its army and erased the darkness.

16. And replaced the darkness of unbelief with light,
And guided them to the lofty religion.

17. He gave them glad tidings that glory is theirs
If they knew what is permissible and prohibited.

18. That security fears them all,
And victory is their everlasting companion.

19. He spoke to them gently, but when they turned away stubbornly,
He unleashed his sword.

20. He scattered those who obstinately opposed,
So they tasted the bitterness of their stubbornness.

21. How many he pleased when they befriended him,
And how many he repelled when they opposed him, repaying and punishing them.

22. They did not respect his rights,
Nor knew friendliness and harmony.

23. He appealed to them through kinship but they turned away,
So he purified them with wars and spoils.

24. He split their unity, capturing some and killing others,
Tearing their hearts and minds asunder.

25. He woke them with the voice of truth openly,
When before his mission they were asleep.

26. Were it not for their responding to him they would have perished,
As crevices, debris, or crumbs.

27. They challenged him but he rendered them helpless,
Falling prostrate when they had stood against him.

28. He confounded them with an eloquent Quran,
Leaving them confused by its eloquence.

29. When they witnessed its clear signs they bit
Their fingers in regret.

30. The radiant moon split open for him,
Then returned to its horizon full again.

31. When people complained to him of drought,
He extended his palm and summoned the clouds.

32. When the rain was delayed from coming to him
The rain came rushing to meet him.

33. The treasures of the earth were presented to him
But he shunned its luxuries.

34. Intercessor of sinners, answer my call
For I am one who prayed and fasted.

35. Take my hand and do not cut off my hope,
For my heart is bent on loving you.

36. O Messenger of God, I seek refuge
In your status, from being disgraced or oppressed.

37. Your status is great for all people,
Honoring the seeker persistently.

38. So extend your hands to me and pull me in,
Perhaps I will attain that abode.

39. Let me kiss the dust of the land you are in,
For its dust heals sickness.

40. Its fragrance is good for people and healing,
The Guided One settled it as Paradise.

41. Messenger of Allah, my soul longs
To see you, even in a dream.

42. Messenger of Allah, my patience is fading,
My life is fleeting.

43. Grey hair has traced lines on my temples,
Weighing down my weary bones.

44. I don the crown of white hair,
Making my vision darkest night.

45. Is there a way for me to meet you?
For my age has exceeded fifty years.

46. I remain saying in longing and ecstasy,
Why does time prevent me, why?

47. If sins have kept me back
And hindered me from my goal,

48. God is Forgiving and Merciful
To the sincere and righteous.

49. I am sincere inwardly and outwardly,
My soul detests sin.

50. If in youth I made mistakes,
My Lord, Your forgiveness is supreme.

51. I am related to the best of creation, Taha,
Through him I hope for safety and wellbeing.

52. Muhammad, Master of the Universe, flying high,
The best of those who stood by God's command.

53. With his mission, virtues became manifest,
Polytheism declined and was defeated.

54. Safety replaced fear until
The universe progressed and became orderly.

55. The worlds shone with his light,
The glorious smile broadly.

56. He is the greatest of mankind and jinn,
The highest and loftiest in status.

57. The angels of God are soldiers for him,
Awake or rising for battle.

58. Behind him follows Gabriel,
With Michael holding the reins.

59. Prophet, how many miracles he has,
Surpassing the stars in number and order.

60. Like the feast of Jabir when he called them,
He satisfied them though the food did not decrease.

61. He quenched thousands with a little water,
Sating them though the vessel was untouched.

62. He promised Jabir dates and fulfilled it,
The date palms blossomed though it was not the season.

63. The tree trunk did not rest until,
He approached and embraced it.

64. The wolf and the foal spoke and the ears
Were deafened by the shock.

65. The shining moon split for him,
Then returned whole to the horizon.

66. When people complained of drought,
He extended his palm and summoned the clouds.

67. When the rain was slow in coming to him
The rain rushed to greet him.

68. The treasures of the earth were presented to him
But he shunned its trappings.

69. Intercessor of sinners, answer my call
For I am one who prayed and fasted.

70. Take my hand and do not cut off my hope,
For my heart is bent on your love.

71. O Messenger of God, your land is the best,
Will I ever see its tents?

72. My heart is in the Hejaz and its people,
Burning with longing from the passions.

73. When will fate bring me to them?
And let my eyes see the Sacred House?

74. So I can circumambulate the House seven times,
And cling to the corners devotedly.

75. I will go to Zamzam slowly and reverently
To quench the thirst of my passions.

76. And I will hasten between the corners humbly,
Cling to the Station and the Place.

77. On the day of Standing I will prepare myself,
Fortunate if I attain my goal.

78. When all people don their garb
And all yearn and speak in different tongues.

79. Not resting as they express joy
For attaining their quest in tight throngs.

80. In the stoning of the pillars I will see my sins
Shattered, though they were massive.

81. After bidding farewell to God's House, we increased
Our love for the Radiant City.

82. We crossed the deserts of Sahul and Hazn,
By God we felt no boredom.

83. We saw the verdant dome and understood,
My tears flowed harmoniously.

84. In it is the Hidden Secret and all merit,
The light of prophethood reached its peak.

85. In it the mystery of existence, the place of resolve,
The seat of honorable deeds.

86. In it the source of generosity and nobility,
Shelter of the God-minded, protector of orphans.

87. Imagine, O Messenger of God, I am under your protection,
That I am with you in your abode.

88. Though I have not visited your House, even for a moment,
By your right I have not visited it.

89. So make good my wish, O my Lord,
And take me and my loved ones to my goal.

90. And send peace upon the Muslim
At every moment, he whose end was sublime.
