1. All people have made pilgrimage and visited
Yet the holy sites have become inaccessible to me

2. My heart has longed year after year
With no rest or peace within it

3. If my sins have made me stay behind
And major and minor wrongs have kept me away

4. Then God's forgiveness is greater than my sins
And He pardons those seeking atonement

5. Even so, when I sin
I have no choice in committing it

6. God's decree cannot be reversed
And I cannot escape His will

7. I am nothing, while my Lord's grace
Is abundant, its sea overflowing

8. His mercy encompasses greatly
With the grace that led many to the Gardens

9. While I remain lost in the dust
Where can the speck be when settled is the dust?

10. My God, I have grown weak, my life wasted
The night of white hair has overcome the day

11. Youth has abandoned me, no respite comes
To my graying hair and unsettled state

12. No deeds have I put forth to save me
When all shall burn on Judgment Day

13. Except my creed of oneness and my love
For Taha, of great favors the giver

14. That is my merchandise since my youth
My goods will never turn to ruin

15. I have noble lineage through Mustafa
Through him, glory and pride were born

16. Yet shame comes over me when I recite
No lineage among them turns pale

17. My Master, disgrace me not
When people seek refuge in the Guide

18. Grant me, by your grace, pilgrimage
To the House circled by angels

19. Therein sins are erased from the servant
And the sinner finds pleas for atonement

20. If I am given the chance to circle seven times
And hasten between Safa and Marwa in vigor

21. To drink from Zamzam and cure my ailments
With its pure, cool water to quench and nourish

22. My call of Labbayk on Arafat would make me forget
The beautiful sound of its call near and far

23. All make diverse invocations in their garb
Of humility, their unifying banner

24. How wonderful the crowding when they descended
And gestured at the stoning pillars with pebbles in hand

25. The day of Mina is the greatest in my eyes
When the pebbles are cast at the Jamarat

26. If we then took leave, the mounts pacing
Through the arid valley’s passes

27. To the Best of Creation from Quraysh
That alone would suffice, the homes nearing

28. There my joy would be complete
Pleasant my stay and company

29. I would kiss the soil where alighted
The Messenger and the nobles with him

30. I would lift my eyes to the heavens in supplication
Tears streaming down my cheeks

31. Seeking the Prophet’s intercession and grace
My heart filled with fervent desire

32. There I would unburden myself before him
Awe and dignity enveloping me

33. O Messenger of God, save me from my sins
For one seeking refuge in you is protected

34. O Messenger of God, you are our intercessor
Your might is support and protection

35. Your status in the world rests on pillars
The axis around which all revolves

36. The light of your ascent filled the earth
Your brilliance has no veil or secret

37. It destroyed the armies of polytheism
The people of disbelief perished and were ruined

38. While God supported him with the best companions
Who raided the enemies and defended

39. They gave victory to Islam and sheltered it
Through them faith was given triumph

40. O Messenger of God, love for you fills my heart
I cannot endure separation from your love

41. I have made love of you my life's creed
Loving the Chosen One is a noble banner

42. Never shall I be deprived having you as my pride
Never shall neediness approach me

43. May God send blessings upon you eternally
As the stars adorned the horizon and dawn shone

44. And upon your Household and Companions altogether
And your followers, pilgrims all who have visited
