1. O son of Hashim, you have inherited their glory,
Which no breach can undo, nor passage of time.

2. Do not let my enemies gloat over me, for they are
But onlookers and eavesdroppers between you and me.

3. And though they return my gratitude with their rage,
My thanks are known to God openly and secretly.

4. So repeat your blessed favors to me abundantly,
For you are constantly disposed to kindness.
