1. I split the reluctant's generous robe,
And ate the fat of kidneys with sugar.
١. وَشَقَقتُ من جدي البَخيل إِهابَهُ
وَأَكَلتُ شَحمَ الكِليَتَينِ بِسُكَّرِ
2. There, hands did not reach my pride,
Slapping, blood poured out of my nostril.
٢. فَهُناكَ ما دَنَتِ الأُكُفُّ لِهامَتي
لَطماً فَأَخرَجَتِ الدما من مِنخري
