1. Do not blame me if I avoid his food
Out of fear for myself from what is eaten
١. لا تَعذِلوني إِن هَجَرتُ طَعامَهُ
خَوفاً عَلى نَفسي مِنَ المَأكولِ
2. For if I eat, I kill him out of his stinginess
And if I kill, I will be killed for the slain
٢. فَمَتى أَكَلتُ قَتَلتُهُ مِن بُخلِهِ
وَمَتى قَتَلتُ قُتِلتُ بِالمَقتولِ
