1. I heard your call and hastened, running to you
Ignoring all others, though they implored me too
١. دَعَوتَ فأَقبَلتُ رَكضاً إِلَيكَ
وَخالَفتُ مَن كُنتُ في دَعوَتِه
2. At your command I raced; my pace was swift
As if I were your steed in its swiftness
٢. وَأَسرَعتُ نَحوَكَ لَمّا أَمَرتَ
كَأَنّي نَوالُكَ في سُرعَتِه
