٢. كَمْ وَدَّ نَجْمٌ ثَاقٍبٌ لَوْ كَانَهُ
حُسْناً وَعِزّاً لاَ يُرَامُ وَنُورَا
3. Who has the heights like the first adventurers
They appeared despite the doubts of time, changing
٣. مَنْ لِلْعُلى مِثْلَ المَغَاويرِ الأُولى
ظَهَرُوا عَلى رَيْبِ الزَّمَانِ مُغِيرَا
4. They surpassed the ancients in ambition and courage
And the foremost one in time became the last
٤. فَاقُوا الأَوَائِلَ هِمَّة وَشَجَاعةً
وَغَدَا المُقَدَّمُ فِي الزَّمَانِ أَخِيرَا
