1. Your dress does not dress you, your family in Egypt
And this cover, if you were keen on cover

2. Do you plough land seeking its plants
Enduring what makes one suffer from cold and heat

3. You have patience in irrigation, drainage and service
Your livelihood being a trying matter needing patience

4. For if what your Lord has given you of crops comes
It comes for what you spent of your life

5. You threw the sea of money the throw of dice
As if you were throwing it recklessly into the sea

6. So you make even with oyster shells what you happily mixed
And spend on it the price of pearls back

7. Yes, the right of science was what it gained
From ignorance and negligence, it was not devoid of excuse

8. But you pressed in futile things your share
You judge by what comprises it and you came to press

9. So nothing remains but your shepherding the bounty
You got without making any effort at gratitude

10. With your woven fever garment you serve the fever
While yourself of abundant nobility and reward

11. I saw the war of the world worker who
Has what he has of every pride unspoiled

12. I see praise, the most fulfilling praise, is not rewarding
The least reward for your many glories

13. You collected the fragments of the East with opinion and determination
Without the sword what one incapable of command could not

14. And you attained in the sublime the furthest goal
To awaken the dormant of worries, flaming thoughts

15. Your path is being of use to people inclusively
And freeing it, at the start and promise, from harm

16. And around you flags, their system nearly
Revolves the circuit of the sun and shining stars

17. When we mention each most wondrous characteristic
Of the choicest elite and daring bridge builder

18. So who equals Mahmoud in men of distinction
And his station among the intimacy of glory in the heart

19. And who equals Fuad in refinement and discourse
And who equals Fuad in loyalty and righteousness

20. Verily, O Egypt the industrial, you shepherded us
And we do not exaggerate if we call you Egypt

21. For through you is many an edifice in its latest preservation
And many an annexed palace to a palace

22. We saw through you illusions yet realities
As if we see magic yet it is not magic

23. When your family meet, the plain is an open sea
Or separate, the paths are river to river

24. Thousands of labouring men and young boys
Of agreeable ingenious tanned lads

25. Factions that reap from your iron their honey
As bees reap it from prolific flowers

26. Their elite suffice their livelihood
And the benefit of the knowledge of none but the wise benefits

27. And their youth knows where the requirement of his food is
When a university graduate wanders from it and does not know

28. Their food varies but facilitated
And their drink pleasantly pure flows

29. May God reward you, how many you mended and covered
And how much good you introduced from evil

30. For your day a day in which for the opening is an aurora
That revealed the face of independence smiling delight

31. The farmer hopeful for his people's success views it
And attains the secret of winning in the hiding place of secrets

32. For the national industry is strength so it
Is precious establishment for the free homeland

33. And I have not seen victory more calamitous
And easier in duty than that victory

34. When Egypt suffices its capable self
Why acceptance of abundant good for little

35. When the West demands tribute for its sale
Does the East not pay tribute for what it buys

36. Your farms narrowed in seeking their sustenance
And your villages became after ease into hardship

37. Beware of poverty causing decay with every cause
For there is no humiliation of the dignified like poverty

38. Cooperate with your products perfect thereby
The countryside's harvest deficient leading to loss

39. In you is stored power if you wisely
Channel it you will change the course of time

40. I composed for you my advice in truthful advice for yourselves
It suffices you from prose and verse

41. And I seek refuge in your determination from hesitation
For if it is not spurred by clanking of poetry

42. Come witness success being poured and appearing
Clarifying greeting with optimism and glad tidings

43. And loudly say to those in doubt
Can there be doubt in the sun after the splendid dawn

44. When some of you forget some of you
What fate for the zeal, O people of remembrance

45. Your bank brought you all you witness
Is there then a trustee not commending it in Egypt
