1. O honored flag, redeemed
Your place is above the stars' dwelling

2. And these crowds around you
Are like precious pearls in a precious necklace

3. When you are honored, honor is a right
For your virtues and knowledge

4. And that justice protects every freeman
And takes the innocent's side against the sinner

5. And that kindness you give to heal
The wounds of the mighty and forbearing

6. And that generosity makes everything expensive cheap
As if pearls were made of cloud pearls

7. Oh master, sought from him
The handsome-faced handsome-natured one

8. Secure for him is the supervision of the tutor
And the fruits are ripe for the boon companion

9. May God guard you from the guardian of souls
With benevolence and the guide of the meek

10. How much you have corrected from the bending of proclivities
With sound opinion, straight and strong

11. And how much foolishness you have wisely settled
Such is the purity of the wise shepherd

12. And you followed a faith led by a father who cared for it
With the care of a just, affectionate, forbearing one

13. A son fulfilled it with righteousness
He fortified the hopes of the sorrowful mother

14. Greetings O foremost of every ink
By which and perfecter of noble manners

15. To you its delegation in Egypt has come
Congratulating on the safe arrival

16. And showing what it shows sincerely
Of veneration for the Almighty Master

17. So live and be well and last for ages
Happy, mighty, firmly established
