1. You were endowed with justice and the cloak of perfection
That is the symbol and you are the example

2. In an illustrious image honored
By the Most High where veneration and beauty lie

He managed a kingdom as youth was in ascent

4. And had sound judgment so his rule
Was but deeds followed by more deeds

5. Glory to Him who granted him such calm ways

His nation reached a rank beyond all reach

7. He spared no effort to advance it
And wherever he found weakness he strengthened it

8. Justice in his rule was all encompassing
And favor abounded, given generously not stingily

9. The bounty you enjoy from a ruler
Who values bounty according to deeds done

10. O star of the pole and light of guidance
For her people, and an age of transition

11. You attained glory beyond all imagining
A reality beyond what dreams portray

12. Knowledge and art and all they engendered
You set right all wrongs and problems

13. And what benefits people you facilitated
To raise standing or improve a condition

14. I have not seen a resolve as firm as yours
Though hard your aim and long the course

15. Shoulders adorned with jewels
Bore burdens of heavy cares

16. Fingers like silver built up
For Egypt wealth and edifices like mountains

17. One who does not spend from his abundance
Does not truly spend his money

18. You wrought two joys for entertaining those in misery
What dullness stirs with pampered living

19. Your varied acts of charity fulfill
The needs of the day and sustain possessions

20. Through prudent use of mind and preparation
Of hands for lawful earning

21. Or correcting the family, raising children
Of sterling traits and strong standing

22. You did for the people whatever
They sought, fulfilling needs before requests

23. So the people with one voice praise you
For no words of thanks suffice

24. O woman of honor all in the protection
Revere you, Lord of Lawful Provision

25. Ever rise to greater heights
You attained though once beyond conception

26. Enduring in Egypt's legacy your traces
Its women thank you and its men
