As an example for the capable albeit latecomer.

10. You only relied on your soul,
Which sufficed for the greatest of goals.

11. A soul with helpers and protectors,
With it you lead, and you shall not be defeated.

12. It aids a family’s care,
And the resolve in an army’s defense.

13. We saw in your company the signs,
Of prudence and abundant success and determined harvest.

14. You revived a breed of valiant people,
Like fertile rain revives the dormant earth.

15. How many jobless found means of living,
And walked to it steadily without stumbling.

16. How many confused were guided by you,
And returned without confusion.

17. How many ignorant tailored coats,
And sold them between the striped and the checkered.

18. No trace remains of his hands' mistakes,
Among the works of the naive and the artistic.

19. You guaranteed the livelihood,
Of hundreds with your generosity and wisdom.

20. You gave them pure water to drink,
Their lives knew no bitterness.

21. The Nile carries food to the plants,
And when clear, it generously provides for the people.

22. This is true benevolence for a nation,
Long neglected and humiliated.

23. Had the leaders built as you built,
It would have been saved from the extortioner and colonizer.

24. Immortalize the dawn of the war in its leaders,
And the heart of its brilliant youthful sultan.

25. Unite the two graves in alliance and cooperation,
To guide the enlightened conscience.

26. What they founded you carried on perfectly,
Ways worthy of the appreciative emulator.

27. You followed their example proportionately, and with,
The essence of wisdom, generosity when possible.

28. So to you I present a necklace from me, O Ali,
Were it embodied, it would weigh down necks of pearls.

29. I pictured it in honor of your deed, not the beauty,
Of my imagination.

30. And greet me back articulating,
What preoccupies every thinker's mind.
