1. Descend, O Hasan, to the blessed abode,
In the protection of God, O Good One.

2. What profit is there for one who lingers,
Now that he is weighed down by years?

3. One whose heart is sated with sorrow
In his nights that once were joyful.

4. He who renounces life, verily,
Renounces only fear and grief.

5. Is there aught with the night and day
But weariness and tribulation?

6. Or is not the beloved, in everything,
A cause for trials to commence?

7. We did not grieve when you sold yourself
To Paradise for a cheap price.

8. But for a grieving father, whom
Time has decayed with its passing days.

9. And for a nation steeped in misery,
Worthy of only lamentation.

10. Today, what is most needed
Are clever youth with insight.

11. And spirited youths, if you call them,
Will build and elevate the community.

12. Oh what a loss of perfection in every
Knowledge and every discipline!

13. O son of the one who was the unique
Scholar and singular sage of the nation.

14. Your house was made desolate by your loss
It has become a dwelling without tranquility.

15. You were once a treasure in it,
The equivalent of the soul in value.

16. The care of God had entrusted you to it
For a period of time.

17. But the Trustee of hearts returned you;
The Trusted One has taken you back.

18. Thus, thus is loyalty,
Surpassing all expectations.

19. In the gardens of Paradise, a dear one,
Triumphant despite the trials of death.

20. The rain has made you bloom, O youth,
To sprout forth good deeds.
