هذي رؤوس القمم الشماء

1. These are the lofty mountain peaks
Ascending into the azure dome

١. هَذِي رُؤُوسُ الْقِمَمِ الشِّماءِ
نَوَاهِضاً بِالْقُبَّة الزَّرْقَاءِ

2. The towering turbans, purest white
Exquisite garments, emerald robes

٢. نَوَاصِعُ الْعَمَائِمِ البَيْضَاءِ
رَوَائِعَ المَنَاطِقِ الْخضْرَاءِ

3. O beauty of the rugged sands
And valleys full of song

٣. يَا حُسْنَ هَذِي الرَّمْلَةِ الوَعْسَاءِ
وَهَذِهِ الأَوْدِيَةِ الْغَنَّاءِ

4. And dwellings painted red
Rising to the heights sublime

٤. وَهَذِهِ المَنَازِلِ الْحَمْرَاءِ
رَاقيةْ مَعَارِجَ العَلاَءِ

5. And lines across the desert vast
As if a maiden's braids they traced

٥. وَهَذِهِ الْخُطُوطِ فِي البَيْدَاءِ
كَأَنَّها أَسِرَّةُ العَذْرَاءِ

6. And patterns strewn across the wild
Each image clear for eyes beguiled

٦. وَذلِكَ التَّدْبِيجِ فِي الصَّحرَاءِ
مِنْ كُلِّ رَسْمٍ بَاهِرٍ لِلرَّائي

7. And waters pure within this place
Now stilled, now turning, undulant grace

٧. وهَذِهِ الِميَاهِ فِي الصَّفاءِ
آناً وَفِي الإِزْبَادِ وَالإِرْغَاءِ

8. Meandering through gardens fair
Jewels hid, jewels bare

٨. تَنْسَابُ فِي الرَّوْضِ عَلَى الْتِوَاءِ
خَفيَّة ظَاهِرَةَ الَّلأْلاَءِ

9. And winds that cure all pains
And heal the sick, grant health again

٩. وَنَسَمٍ قَوَاتِلٍ لِلدَّاءِ
يَشْفِينَ كُلَّ فَاقِدِ الشِّفاءِ

10. As stars of Gemini's constellation
Seeking night's recitation

١٠. وَمَعْشَرٍ كَأنْجُمِ الْجَوْزَاءِ
يَلْتَمِسُونَ سُتْرَةَ المسَاءِ

11. In playgrounds scented, aired
For soul and fancy flared

١١. فِي مَلْعَبٍ لِلطِّيبِ وَالْهَوَاءِ
وَمَرْتَعٍ لِلنَّفسِ وَالأَهْوَاءِ

12. Wellspring of thought and intellect
For song and verse collect

١٢. وَمَبْعَثٍ لِلفِكْرِ وَالذَّكَاءِ
وَمُنْتَدىً لِلشِعْرِ وَالغِنَاءِ

13. O homeland, for which blood we shed
True souls their fealty pledge

١٣. يَا وَطَناً نَفْدِيهِ بِالدِّمَاءِ
وَالأَنْفُسِ الصَّادِقَةِ الْوَلاَءِ

14. Fortunate, the one who comes
Close again, when distant roamed

١٤. مَا أسْعَدَ الظَّافِرَ بِاللِّقَاءِ
وَالقُرْبِ بِعْدَ الهَجْرِ وَالْجَلاَءِ

15. If I weep for bliss supreme
Yearning's ache drew tears, it seems

١٥. إِنْ أَكْ بَاكِياً مِنَ السَّرَّاءِ
فَإِنَّ طُولَ الشَّوْقِ فِي التَّنَائِي

١٦. أَلَّفَ بَيْنَ العَيْنِ وَالْبُكَاءِ
