12. A redeeming trait, her honor
Is to die in defense of humanity

13. For she melted into gold for none but love
When she grieved or burned with passion

14. And the dew adorned her for none but pride
And she exuded ambergris for none but fame

15. She was determined not to boast
And refused to let people travel far to her

16. Whoever called her, just or unjust
Called for chivalry, rushing ahead

17. For whoever dwelled near, she offered a scent
And for whoever looked upon her, a view

18. And she allowed freely those who sought
Consolation, beauty or an appearance

19. She is the joy of one in his loneliness
And his comfort if he is troubled

20. She is the beloved kissed in anguish
By one whose love abandoned and deserted

21. She is the breath that one inhales for healing
When his bosom burns inflamed

22. She is the gift at the wedding for one
Who chose the most beloved, the purest dowry

23. Said the rosy blossom in her bashfulness
And refinement in the flower:

24. "Oh my companions, daughters of light
And rain in the dawn

25. Our sister, sun of the daughters, the tiny
Flower in the afternoon

26. Tomorrow she leaves the nest of the warbler

Spreading out between them

37. Lights sparkled among them
And cheeks blushed red

38. The people's glances met therein
Shooting arrows or sparks

39. Young men unbroken, and old men whom
The sphere of time had marked

40. And beautiful gray-haired boughs that
Could barely hide the fruit

41. In robes of joy, and on
Each face a star of good fortune shone

42. A queen of modesty appeared, veiling
Herself from sights

43. Among her companions around her as
The full moon among the stars

44. A gathering throbbed with joy for her
Happy on her feast day, hopeful

45. The dream remained until
The touching of the gloomy dawn dispelled it

46. And it lifted from a day of serene delight
That interwoven veil of dust

47. The birds sang heralding it
And the horizon donned its greenest gown

48. And the garden's daughters came
To the wedding area and adorned the place of celebration

49. They came with offerings and each one gave
The lady of the house her brightest youth

50. And each wished the lasting joy
For the bridal couple in a secret prayer

51. The rose said: "Oh our poet
We have chosen you above all poets

52. Recite to us what we have whispered delicately
Smilingly and confidentially"

53. In the name of the queen of flowers
Of majesty and splendor

54. A poet presents the clearest congratulations
And the most sincere wishes
