13. And you refused, when the caller to peace called

14. You have strived to do justice for nations, and how many
Conferences you have attended in every exile!

15. Your weapon is truth - if its rays are cast
Their falsehoods will tumble head over heels

16. Can there be peace if nations are not given justice?
Its dearest features plundered by aggressors?

17. Can it be called brotherhood while the path is blood
And truth is cloaked in shades of lies?

18. As for your ideal message, you have not ceased
Since you began it, continuous in its cause

19. What have you done to bring justice to women, and how much
Harm and suspicion have you dispelled from them?

20. Can a people be safe when the cherished half
Of women are oppressed, and escape from harm?

21. You have freed them despite the assailants, and whoever
Strives with your determination will not fail or lose

22. The best union was that which you gathered
Of the brilliant elite of highborn ladies

23. Were I to recount and describe your institutions
Wonder upon wonder, there would be no end

24. Signs of a new age of advancement are seen
In them the future of the people is hoped for

25. Through them you prepare good daughters for it
And mothers for a working generation

26. What have you done without missing any opportunity
For science, art, morals and literature?

27. Your halls have long accommodated
One seeking victory in his time, and did not refuse

28. How you have helped artists in their art
And published so many books and manuscripts

29. To which reformers flock with their wishes, and none
Who seek good stays far from them

30. Leader of the great renaissance, you have reached through it
What none before you hoped to attain, O constructor

31. You spared nothing precious to you
Of fine living, status and purpose

32. So enjoy your reward in the gardens of bliss
Allah rewards whoever lends to Him manifold
