And in fame’s birth and noble acts a portion lend.

9. Or in innovations unforeseen at first,
A matter no mere thought could apprehend.

10. And did what scarce a foot dared venture in,
Sultan’s scion, though names and traits contend.

11. Sultan was protector ample for alarm,
The steed no rival in its strides could offend.

12. His the pure wine cup and most noble fame,
Justice established lofty views defend.

13. He won the praise the judicious Egyptian merited,
With heart restoring branch to firmly tend.

14. The grandfather's soul returned in this grandson,
Blessing and brand both reprised without amend.

15. As lineage renewed its ancient stamp upon
This wondrous youth, its token without end.

16. O you granted broadest scope of high regard,
Egypt’s unshaken citadel, its summit to defend.

17. Yours is portion of its making, governance apportioned,
Task that daunts minds, no resolution can transcend.

18. What is this toil, abundance you are given?
Pain wears, grief, yet fulfillment they portend.

19. Not for gain, but people’s care is your concern,
All you build does thriving, fortune send.

20. Magnificent, initiator and fulfiller,
Wise, never wrong in what the wise commend.

21. After this nurture from your people, can
Completion be denied its appointed end?

22. Egypt sought you not for goodness, rather
After mother, itself a mother to defend.
