1. You pass by, and memories of you fill every garden
Blessed by God, your light shines from afar

2. You have become immortal, not just in one paradise
Casting off your robe of anything less than perfection

3. O Most Noble Messenger, why have the delegates changed?
From your sweet sanctuary to sorrow and mourning

4. They came a final time, so prepare yourselves
With sorrow - the guests' abode is gone

5. Fate has taken the virtuous one
The likes of him come only rarely over time

6. Finery of noble character has been stilled in him
It adorned heads with crowns

7. After him, who will care for the poor when they complain
And the weak when they are wronged, drawing near

8. For the orphans, who will be like the generous father
They awoke in the morning, orphaned by his loss

9. Who lifted the honoured when humiliation befell them
Extending to them the hand of the Merciful

10. They were distraught at his passing, and never before
Had good and kindness ceased for so long

11. A dear soul has come to the Protector
Pure of heart and noble spirit

12. He lived life without envy
Never once jealous of blessings or critical of others

13. Quintessence of good advice and freedom to choose
Wise of mind and brave of heart

14. Scion of the lofty Al Manzilawi family
Reaching the highest stature

15. Following in their footsteps of purity
Righteousness, probity, piety and openhandedness

16. You saw a palace built over a lifetime
Then when complete, the builder was seen

17. You left your lasting legacy built on
God, virtue and faith

18. An eternal dwelling through your Lord's grace
The Bountiful's mercy upon you
