1. Our two angelic rulers, may God perpetuate their glory,
Two suns that rose auspiciously in Yemen one blessed day,

2. A day of joy for all who gathered on it,
The finest of maidens graced it with beauty and kindness,

3. In a procession of princesses a marvelous sight,
Adorned with all that dazzles the eyes,

4. This is a new favor from them,
Our hearts receive it with thankfulness,

5. O exceptional assembly witnessing our celebration today,
From every level of society high and low,

6. The nation's glory rises as you rise to uphold it,
Supported on firm pillars and foundations,

7. An edifice goodness built whose builder
God has blessed, its building and builder,

8. Established, no expense spared,
A fountain for the people of refinement and discernment,

9. Aiming through it to further advance
His nation in its second sphere,

10. To educate virtuous girls,
As hoped for their seemly state and stature,

11. What light of guidance in it, what shade of dew,
Saplings of prosperity grow in their favor,

12. Praise be to Farouk - who can recount his achievements,
In knowledge, art and means of civilization?

13. Our king, model of the world, blessed
As if angel in human form,

14. Through his rule God smoothed the way for us
As never eased for other folk and lands,

15. Long live the treasure house of the Nile’s valley, its lord,
And may he reach the summit of grandeur and dominion,

16. Backed by hearts of subjects filled with love
Sincerely professed in public and private!
