1. The flags fluttered for the rise of your face,
And marched surrounding your caravan.
١. خَفَقَتْ لِطَلْعَةِ وَجْهِكَ الأَعْلامُ
وَمَشَتْ تُحِيطُ بِرَكْبِكَ الأَعْلامُ
2. From the harbor of the most verdant border to the protection
Of mighty Egypt, greetings and peace.
٢. مِنْ مَرْفَأِ الثَّغْرِ الأَغَرِّ إِلَى حِمَى
مِصْرَ الأبَرِّ تَحِيَّةٌ وَسَلامُ
3. The train covers endless distances,
With overflowing waves on both sides.
٣. يَطْوِي القِطَارُ مَرَاحِلاً لا تَنْتَهِي
وَالْجَانِبَانِ طُلىً تَمُوجُ وَهَامُ
4. For God through you, for the country and the sublime,
This loyalty and that honor.
٤. للهِ فِيكَ وَلِلبِلادِ ولِلعُلَى
هَذَا الْوَلاءُ وَذَلِكَ الإكْرَامُ
5. A state that increases your softness and farewell,
The bones are indeed the souls of the noble.
٥. حَالٌ تَزِيدُكَ رِقَّةً وَوَدَاعَةً
إنَّ العِظَامَ لَبَالنُّفُوسِ عِظَامُ
6. O Saad Al Saud, emerge in Egypt and do not build
Away from Egypt after your radiant light.
٦. سعْدَ السُّعُودِ اطْلُعْ بِمِصْرَ وَلا يَبِنْ
عَنْ مِصْرَ بَعْدَ ضِيَاؤُكَ البَسَّامُ
7. Quench the eyes with what overflows from joy,
For you were veiled while the eyes had sorrows.
٧. أَرْوِ العُيُونَ بِمَا تُفِيضُ مِنَ السَّنَى
فَلَقَدْ حُجِبْتَ وَبِالعُيُونِ أُوَامُ
8. Two years have passed in absence, and for those
Who long, an hour is longer than years.
٨. عَامَانِ مَرَّا فِي الغِيَابِ وَعِنْدَ مَنْ
يَشْتَاقُ أَقْصَرُ سَاعَةٍ أَعْوَامُ
9. Is this not the day for drowning in the word of a speaker
Whose utterances shook and awakened the pyramids?
٩. أَليَوْمَ لا إِغْرَاقَ فِي قَوْلِ امْرِيءٍ
هُزَّ المُقَطَّمُ وَانْتَشَى الأَهْرَامُ
10. The melting of its carnelian ran in the Nile valley
Quenching the swooning and the wine continues to pour.
١٠. وَجَرَى بِوَادِي النِّيلِ ذَوْبُ عَقِيقِهِ
يُروِي الخَمَائِلَ وَالشَّرَابُ مُدَامُ
11. This is the reward of the loyalists, and thus
The nations praise their heroes.
١١. هَذَا جَزَاءُ الْمُخْلِصِينَ وَهَكَذَا
تُثْنِي عَلَى أَبْطَالِهَا الأَقْوَامُ
12. What of gratitude you command
From Egypt's sons, and they are generous?
١٢. مَا الظَّنُّ بِالشُّكْرِ الَّذِي يُولِيكُهُ
أَبْنَاءُ مِصْرَ وَأَنَّهُمْ لَكِرَامُ
13. Saviour of the country and restorer of its rights
What fulfills its right to magnify you?
١٣. مُنِجِي البِلادَ وَمُسْتَعِيدُ حُقُوقِهَا
مَاذَا يَفِي مِنْ حَقِّهِ الإِعْظَامُ
14. It suffices for pride that you have become its refuge
And its hoped-for protector when distressed.
١٤. حَسْبَ المَفَاخِرِ أَنْ غَدَوْتَ مَلاذَهَا
وَمَعَاذَهَا المَأْمُولَ حِينَ تُضُامُ
15. My God, how firm you were in the matter
To which Egypt summoned you while you are resolute.
١٥. للهِ مَا أَمْضَاكَ فِي الشَّأْنِ الَّذِي
نَدَبَتْكَ مِصْرُ لَهُ وَأَنْتَ هُمَامُ
16. You have done what you love, and a company has done good
Among them only a bold youth.
١٦. أَحْسَنْتَ مَا تَهْوَى وَأَحْسَنَ رُفْقَةٌ
مَا مِنْهُمُو إِلاَّ فَتىً مِقْدَامُ
17. You made the right decision so the darkness
Would not terrify you in its turmoil.
١٧. أَعْمَلْتُمُ العَزْمَ الصَّحِيحَ فَلَمْ يَكُنْ
لِيَرُوعَكُمْ فِي غِيلِهِ الضِّرْغَامُ
18. You have proven an opinion leading
To success beyond what the deaf can attain.
١٨. وَالرَّأْيَ قَدْ أَثْبَتُّمُوهُ بَالِغٌ
فِي النًّجْحِ مَا لا يَبْلُغُ الصَّمْصَامُ
19. By the nobility of this well-guided opinion
And the favor of that mighty determination,
١٩. فبِنبْلِ هَذَا الرَّأْيِ وَهْوَ مُوَفَّق
وَبِفَضْلِ ذَاكَ العَزْمِ وَهْوَ جُسَامُ
20. Egypt will return to the position of its forefathers,
And glory to it, or above that, a position.
٢٠. سَتَعُودُ مِصْرُ إِلَى سَنِيِّ مَقَامِهَا
وَلَهَا السُّهَى أَوْ فَوقَ ذَاكَ مُقَامُ
