1. A radiant beauty, her whiteness
Like fabric woven of salt in meadows.
١. حَوْرَاءُ نَاصِعَةٌ كَأَنَّ بَيَاضَهَا
نَسْجٌ مِنَ اللَّمَّاحِ فِي النَّوَّارِ
2. With her splendor she stands alone, and if she appears
Her procession is lit by rays of light.
٢. بِبَهَائِهَا انْفَرَدَتْ وَيَحْفَلُ إِنْ بَدَتْ
مِنْهَاجُهَا بِمَوَاكِبِ الأَنْوَارِ
3. And she has a figure, if you fall in love,
More precious than gold wire.
٣. وَلَهَا قَوَامٌ إِنْ تَأَوَّدَ خَاطِراً
أَزْرَى بِتَأْوِيدْ الْقنا الخَطَّارِ
4. A wonder, amazing to souls, her intelligence
Sparkling in her enchanting glance.
٤. عَجَبٌ عِجابٌ لِلْنُّفوسِ ذَكَاؤُهَا
مُتَلأَلِئَاً فِي لَحْظِهَا السَحَّارِ
5. In what lamp are the blossoms of her face
Illuminating minds with the glow of a beacon?
٥. فِي أَيِّ مِصْبَاحٍ كَزَاهِرِ وَجْهِهَا
تَتَنَوَّرُ الأَلْبَابُ ضَوْءَ مَنَارِ
6. If she attends a gathering or is seen,
Beauty is in ears and eyes.
٦. إِنْ حَاضَرَتْ فِي مَجْمَعٍ أَوْ نَاظَرَتْ
فَالْحُسْنُ فِي الأَسْمَاعِ وَالأَبْصارِ
