He did not make it as happy a home as its people;

2. More delightful than its outward adornment
Is the adornment of those dwelling within.

3. A sublime ode now completed,
Its words made as sweet as its meaning.

4. Blessings on the builder and on a family
That has known no vanity or confusion,

5. Its glory earned by its own merits,
Its nobility shaped by its own virtues.

6. No envier arises against its fortunes,
May God preserve and protect it!
