9. I grieved you were accused though innocent,
By a ruthless accuser excused.

10. So you lived a while tormented, not
Knowing why, and you died not knowing

11. Why you never lingered long enough
For rays of splendid mind to shine,

12. Long enough for deeds of grace and good
To form a product and design.

13. Long enough to leave behind a child
To be hoped for, for bane and boon.

14. Why did you come from nothingness?
Why did you linger in the tomb?

15. If you went and left behind but sadness
And the bitterness of memory,

In blissful gardens of eternity.
