1. The eminent place of Raghbib ibn Atiyyah
Is long-established, above the barren desires

2. He built it up, raising it with virtues and bounty
And committed it to prohibitions and merits

3. He received the medal of glory, with all people agreeing
That he deserves the highest ranks

4. The gentlest man in caring for those present
And the most faithful in safekeeping the absent

5. Whenever you meet him, you meet generosity and piety
In the garment of unsullied virtue, shunning vices

6. And who among the men of today is like Ibn Atiyyah
In upholding truth or undertaking a duty

7. Congratulations to him for favor, joy and contentment
And every continuous bounty that follows

8. By honoring him, an era and nation are honored
And the incumbent duty to the noblest representative is fulfilled

9. Through him Egypt attained its pride
And its history shone with the glory of Raghbib
