١. يَا مُنَى الْقَلْبِ وَنُورَ العَـ
ـيْنِ مُذْ كُنْتُ وَكُنْتِ
2. I never wished for people to know
What I have kept safe, and you have kept safe
٢. لَمْ أَشَأْ أَنْ يَعْلَمَ النَّا
سُ بِمَا صُنْتُ وَصُنْتِ
3. And why I was wary of their prying
Into you and I, you were perceptive
٣. وَلِمَا حَاذَرْتُ مِنْ فِطْـ
ـنَتِهِمْ فِينَا فَطِنْتِ
4. My nights and days of bliss
Are with whoever you thought I was
٤. إِنَّ لَيْلاَيَ وَهِنْدِي
وَسُعَادِي مَنْ ظَنَنْتِ
5. Names may be many
But she who is named is you alone
٥. تَكْثُرُ الأَسْمَاءُ لَـ
ـكِنَّ المُسَمَّى هُوَ أَنْتِ
