1. Peace be upon you, O owner of this jubilee
Honored among generations, one after another
١. دُمْ سَالِماً يَا صاحِبَ اليُوبيلِ
مُعَظَّماً فِي الْجِيلِ بَعْدَ الجِيلِ
2. You find your children in era after era
In this great gathering
٢. تَلْقَى بَنِيكَ حِقْبَةً فَحِقْبَةً
فِي مِثْلِ هَذَا المُلْتَقَى الجَلِيلِ
3. From Egypt and her children
Congratulations are sent to you with veneration
٣. إِلَيْكَ مِنْ مِصْرَ وَمِنْ أَبْنَائِهَا
تَهْنِئَةً تُهْدَى مَعِ التَّبْجِيلِ
4. They send it to the exemplary Imam
The scholar, the virtuous noble one
٤. يُهْدُونَهَا إِلى الإِمَامِ المُفْتَدَى
العَالِمِ العَلاَّمَةِ النَّبِيلِ
5. They wish they were near to gain
A kiss from his hand
٥. وَقَدْ تَمَنَّوْا لَوْ دَنَوْا فظَفِروا
مِنْ يَدِهِ بِمَوْضِعِ التَّقْبِيلِ
6. Exalt him, he who is perfect in reason and meaning
With the gentlest refinement
٦. أَعْظِمْ بِهِ مِنْ سَيَّدٍ مُكَمَّلٍ
حِسّاً وَمَعْنّى أَلْطَفَ التَّكْمِيلِ
7. The people of piety revere him for his knowledge
And that merit is no small thing
٧. يُجِلُّهُ لِعِلْمِهِ أَهْلُ النُّهَى
وَلَيْسَ ذَاكَ الفَضْلُ بِالقَلِيلِ
8. In his heart is an ocean of all arts
A leading light for the seeker of knowledge
٨. فِي صَدْرِهِ بَحْرُ فُنُونٍ كُلُّهَا
فَرَائِدٌ لِطَالِبِ التَّحْصِيلِ
9. More eloquent than Qus, and were he compared
The methods of analogy would not hold
٩. أَفْصَحُ مِنْ قُسٍ وَلَوْ قِيسَ بِهِ
لَمْ تَسْتَقِمْ طَرَائِقُ التَّمْثِيلِ
10. When he takes the pulpit for a sermon
You'd think his words a revelation
١٠. إِذَا عَلاَ المِنْبَرَ فِي مَوْعِظَةٍ
حَسِبْتَ قَوْلَهُ مِنَ التَّنْزِيلِ
11. In his weighty diction and style
An unmatched eloquence
١١. فِي لَفْظِهِ الجَزْلِ وَفِي أُسْلُوبِهِ
بَلاَغَةٌ فَاقِدَةٌ المَثِيلِ
12. Clear and novel in its beauty, it refuses
To take the place of literal interpretation
١٢. جَلِيَّةٌ جَدِيدَةُ الحُسْنِ أَبَتْ
وَضْعَ صَريحٍ مَوْضِعَ التَّأْوِيلِ
13. Never distracted, his reason unfailing
Avoiding pretexts that cause doubt
١٣. مَا اعْتَلَّ رَأْيُهُ وَلَمْ يَلْجَأْ إِلْى
مَايحْدِثُ الشُّبْهَةَ مِنْ تَعْلِيلِ
14. He greets each matter though it come
In ways not pleasing to his beautiful face
١٤. يَسْتَقْبِلُ الأَمْرَ وَلَوْ جَاءَ بِمَا
لَمْ يُرْضِهِ مِنْ وَجْهِهِ الجَمِيلِ
15. May God protect his spirit
In bliss for long years
١٥. فَلْيَصُنِ اللهُ لَنَا مُهْجَتَهُ
فِي نِعَمةٍ إِلى مَدى طَوِيلِ
16. And sustain him in the gloom
Of this life, guide of the path
١٦. وَلْيُبْقِهِ لِلهائِمِينَ فِي دُجَى
هَذِي الحَيَاةِ هَادِيَ السبِيلِ
17. And give him in his days a people
Who love him for his abundant grace
١٧. وَلْيُولِ فِي أَيَّامِهِ رَعِيَّةً
تُحِبُّهُ مِنْ فَضْلِهِ الجَزِيلِ
