She bloomed at dawn with life,

1. She bloomed at dawn with life,
Providence grazed you from the fading ones.

2. When you poured the purity of dew,
Touch me with the seeker of the desert.

3. Time's corruption withered its branch and blossoms in the garden called out.
Egypt's captive, the unique one of an era,

4. Every singer has sung her praises.
She was the literary figure of her days,

5. And its guiding beacon.
When we read one of her verses,

6. We deemed the letters singing through her.
Fate assailed her murderously,

7. Oh what a loss no blood money can replace!
The lyre weeps sorrowfully for her,

8. And its strings lament her.
