1. You sheltered Egypt and her Sudan
Faithfully, in every state remaining steadfast

Their benefactor, the noble, generous Al-Aryahee

3. And do the finches forget the beauty of youth
And the awe-inspiring, gentle sheikh of youth

4. A life whose twists you’ve endured
Most often in it aggrieved

5. With your kindness and grace you undid it
And its course you gentled, and its soft breezes

6. Its afflictions you faced scoffing
Patiently, truly you were wise

7. Leave it be and rejoice amongst the houri of heaven
And their boys, and fully enjoy the bliss

8. Oh you masters who are plentiful
For a memory deserving for it to last

9. Your gathering, from the sons of Dhad, has brought
Sorrow, and has soothed a painful wound

10. You bolster the glory of Arabness, for as long as you
Remain, for good and ill, a cohesive knot

11. What you harbor of true brotherhood
And what you show of faithful affection

12. May God reward you with the most virtuous reward
And support the eminent Farouk of great Egypt
