For an aspiring heart

4. Indeed, it is the dew by which
I have attained this high position

5. I have always been at the frontier
With a serene soul and a smile

6. Seeking cure, abstaining
From what harms in speech

7. In the hermits’ huts, though
Without prayer or fasting

8. I find the pages a solace
For me while sitting or standing

9. From them I learned of what
Your great efforts have achieved

10. So I wrote to praise them to you
With chivalry and peace
