1. What will compensate you for your youth,
Complaining of the pain and shedding tears?

2. Muhammad has passed away while he
Was the brave youth without motion.

3. He yearned for Egypt while he was in it.
That was the worst kind of remoteness.

4. O passerby, alas what did the dawn reap
Except joy on the laughing dawn.

5. No matter how destiny tries me with pain,
Your affection will remember me.

6. You are loyal to those who are loyal to you
You are faithful to those who follow you

7. You are the generous, son of the generous
The glittering star of your family.

8. You are the hope, the hope of Egypt
Its glory appeared through your glory.

9. And he saw you adorned with the colors
Of radiance, whoever saw you.

10. Your Lord did not love anyone
Except you, all the meanings He gave you.

11. Great morals, brilliant ones
None attained them except you.

12. Manners, not the manners of kings
That is within the angelic traits.

13. A composition like that of pearls
Invented and diversified by your wisdom.

14. Prose you reached through it the imamate
Of those who read it, so he read you.

15. An utterance you breathed into it
The melody of meadows in Iraq.

16. An art you told the miracles through it
And no one told them except you.

17. How many heroes escaped
And you returned them to the battle.

18. You spread them after decay
And resurrecting your people is your goal.

19. Gently to awaken those sinking among them
And trying to set them free.

20. And by exerting these powers
You accomplished your purposes promptly.

21. None who deflected the affairs poured blood
As your purpose poured blood.

22. My God I really do not know how
To console your father.

23. O Ahmad of fathers, what is
In your precious son that grieved you.

24. Since you lost your son, all of Egypt
Lost him, so it lost you.

25. It is as if in every fading face
Are your two teary eyes.

26. And it is as if in every body
Lay your heart, that is it.

27. Ask Him who tested you in the apple
Of your heart to make you steadfast.

28. And may He protect you today from what
You prohibited, knowing it would hurt you.

29. And may experience benefit you in
Taming your patience if it disobeyed you.

30. And may your qualities that were your wardrobe
Become your habit again.

31. O Muhammad, admit in the proximity of God
For He has chosen you.

32. O Muhammad, be content with eternity
And your memory was good.
