He led the lands with resolved intent

8. And a compassionate heart
And was a bountiful rain and rescue

9. For the downtrodden and oppressed
I knew him as the most brilliant

10. In his prose and verse
Fertile gardens far from

11. Sterile stagnation
Molding with the skill of a literary man

12. And the thought of a learned scholar
What can I say about his refined

13. And pure nature
And the sincerity of his affection and pact

14. That reveals the purity of his character
And dignity like mountains

15. And gentleness like a breeze
And virtuous qualities

16. Created for glory
My heart refuses consolation

17. After the intimate friend
What ails every kin

18. And companion of his
God watch over your home

19. In the lasting abode of purity
Happy are those who receive

20. Their reward in bliss
