1. Rejoice in the honor bestowed
By the King upon you

2. An honor you were singled out for, bringing
Joy to all the Arabs

3. Their men of letters deem it
The finest reward for merit

4. Their scholars see it linked
To knowledge by unbroken ties

5. All who excel in generosity praise it
In prose or verse

6. So too all of keen intellect
And refinement if they write

7. It suffices journalism
To have through it attained the peak of glory

8. You plunged into politics yet stayed
Above suspicion or slander

9. You banish resolve though faced
With setbacks, never complaining of toil

10. And remain a place where hopes
Converge when a party contends

11. In what pursuit were you not
Worthy of the highest ranks?

12. A great heart inspiring
A great mind is no wonder

13. God's full grace in a lineage
Nobility's stamp preserves

14. For God, for country, for Al-Farouq
You did what duty demands

15. So all agree the King should be thanked
For the gift he bestowed

16. A blessing never granted before
To a man more deserving or beloved
